I like the PWS but everyone keeps telling me it is too loud and folks at the range will complain....that is why I picked up the AAC non mount 3 prong...but i really want to put the PWS on though...

should I care less what folks at the range might think?

I say depends on what you want the muzzle device to do...

The FSC556 is more of a comp, so it will help with muzzle rise and some flash suppression. The side concussion on it is pretty noticable, but does a good job on preventing muzzle rise... Have it on my scar and it does it job.

The blackout is just a flashhider so will its main job is to reduce flash, not much in the muzzle rise area.. also like most prong flashhiders it will have a noticable ting sound when shot.

I know what each does but I don't want to be that guy at the range...I was leaning towards compensation because I just threw on a Geiselle SD3G trigger too...but just worry when I take it to the range and the folks next to me start opening their mouths...

As long as there is a wall seperating you from others, it isnt so bad... I dont get many complaints from others when I shoot the FSC at my range.

probably a different story if you are training and there is no wall seperating you from the shooter next to you.

You are at a gun range. Anyone who can't take the noise should leave. Surely an AR15 with a compensator isn't the loudest thing at the range. Tell them to be thankful you aren't shooting .338 Lapua Magnum.

its more of the concussion directly towards the 2 adjacent stall that is the problem...

but guess I'm going to put the PWS on...

I go to the range expecting to hear loud bangs...

Maybe just apologize ahead of time to your bench neighbors when you show up. AR pistols are fun!

Have a look at the EFFIN A compensator by Predator Armament. The device is ported in 7 rows of 4 ports throughout the entire surface. Set screws are placed or left empty into each hole to tune in the opposing exit gas.

You can basically tune it into no-rise/almost no recoil and no horizontal movement.

                      Less than $100 also.

It's just as loud as any other brake. They arre also made to stack if necessary. I don't know if there is a need for stacking but you can.

I have mine on a tack driver I built.

Ares Armor, not Predator Armament(says so right on the image)
