No serial numbers on rifel. Does this make it C&R?

I have an old mossberg 22 with no serial numbers. Does this make it old enough to sell FTF to an 003FFL holder?
I want to play by the rules and was wondering.
    Thanks, John

if it has no serial number, you can assume it was made pre-68. So, based on that, you couldn't guarantee it was 50-years old until 2018. but, with additional research, if you can narrow down production window to pre-63, by model or features, then it could be assumed to be C&R.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

If you can be sure it's at least 50...

...you can sell it to any non-prohibited person, with or without a C&R FFL.

its a fine line you have the burdeon to prove the 50 year exemption

its also annoying to have to pay a $35 tax to transfer a $100 gun

Uh, it still needs to go through an 01 or 07 FFL in CA unless it is over 50 years old. Without more info, it's age can't be determined.
