I have seen several post in the Private Sale Section of people selling handguns that are "still in jail" One guy even wanted someone to "take over" his SSE. My question is why does this happen? Are there that many people who change their mind about a gun before even taking possession of the gun? Or is it strictly these people trying to make a buck off the hard to get guns? Are these sales considered a straw purchase?

Impulse buy and then regrets later. Whether they found another or not. Or maybe the salesperson was just really good they couldn't say no

It's a pretty douchey thing to do if you're trying to make money off of it (sure its a free country). I saw one listing where one guy wanted $1K to take over his SSE, but you still had to pay DROS + taxes.
Later I saw the same gun from same store for 799 + SSE.Comment
