I think the point was that there needed to be enough tickets sold initially to bring the documentary to the venue in the first place. Once its there, I believe others will see the show besides us die hards.

But I do agree there is no marketing to speak of. I learned of this through Calguns. They need to run some ads, or put up some billboards - you are right.

if it were truly about "getting the word out", couldn't the internet be utilized? I've never watched a flick on the net but I would imagine that would get broad exposure and spread through various forums (gun and non-gun alike)... and possibly eventually get media exposure.

I realize that doesn't make money - but it would get the word out.

              I don't (and won't) use FB...

What I meant was showing the movie via internet... "getting the word out" as in the pro 2A message (not getting the word out that the movie is showing in theaters).

but like I said, an internet movie doesn't generate revenue so maybe they don't want to go that route? It would however, get lots of exposure.

After the theater presentation, I'd expect DVDs, then an internet release.

                      JT Schmid's

Sounds like we have 30 for dinner/drinks at JT Schmid's in Tustin. I'll make the reservation tomorrow for Calvin Gunns party of 19 at 5:30 on the 20th. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Is it too late to join the party at JT Schmids? I got my ticket for the show.

By the way, good choice on the food venue - JT is a pro-2A establishment. Our monthly Orange NRA Members' Council meetings are held at the Anaheim location.
