    Infuriating convo with a customer

So I work at an FFL in southern California and today these two middle-eastern looking males walk in. One of the two was actually interested in some of the handguns we had and the other, who looked somewhat younger, didnt seem at all interested.

So I asked them if they have any questions and if I can help them in any way, and the younger guy asks me: "Are all of these real?" (looking at our rack of AR's). This question still gets me everytime... Are people really this stupid? I hear this question more often than you'd think.

So I answer that yes ofcourse they are real. And he says its his first time in here, so I say 'welcome!'. He then asks me why people buy AR's. He spouted some drivel about AR's being too dangerous. He asked me if they buy them for hunting, and I replied that people buy firearms for whatever purpose they see fit and that we have the 2nd Amendment which guarantees that right.

And then this little bast*rd says to the guy looking at the handguns 'oh hes gonna try to tell me about an amendment haha'. i about came unglued. I just walked away before I could get angrier.

Anyways, just wanted to share a story. Any of you guys come in contact with the anti's at your work?

Yup , but I don't work at an FFL
Limit politicians to two terms. One in office and one in jail.

You can thank his parents for that response. Kids these days have zero respect because they were not taught it at home.

Every day. I have a liberal lesbian coworker who baits me at every turn. The company owner got me a coffee mug with a 1911 grip as a handle for a novelty gift- she told me it intimidated her.

You had the opportunity to remind them that it was access to guns that let their countrymen rebel against their oppressors- doesn't matter which desolate crap pile sand trap they're from, it'll still be true.

I use to work with a Canadian who could not understand my fondness for firearms. He could not understand....Until I took him shooting.

He soon thereafter purchased a Sig 522.

That's why I don't like retail sales. All kinds of idiots walk in, say crap and buy nothing.

I work in a public elementary school district, so yes, I do come in contact with antis from time to time. Like every two minutes.

Ok, so the two males were smug and condescending and they may have been trying to bait you into reacting, which you didn't. Chock, this event up as a lesson learned so that you will again respond correctly the next time something like this happens. You handled it well.
