AR 15 jamming question

Don't feed steel cased ammo to your auto feeder. Most don't like the taste.

I'd be wary of buying it if the 1st thing he tells you is "it jams".. Him saying he took it to a gunsmith and the gunsmith said everythings ok.. The "he took it to the gunsmith" should be a red flag as if it was only some cheap ammo he wouldn't have taken to a gunsmith. as a side note my 18" chews thru anything I feed it.

This is a weapon the OP was considering purchasing. This isn't a will my rifle eat wolf or tula thread. I would NEVER NEVER buy a weapon from someone that said "he took it to the gunsmith"..... Having you own weapon not eating weak rounds is different than someone who has actually taken the weapon to a gunsmith because it's not operating properly then trying to sell it to someone.

Hi everyone a quick question, I'm looking at purchasing a used AR 15, haven't tried it yet but the owner says it works great, except it jams on cheap Wolf 223? Wwile would be interested in using that ammo, sounds like something is wrong? Sellers as he took it to the gunsmith who says everything is fine, any thoughts?

Take this for what it's worth... an AR15 was originally designed to be a 20" barrel rifle. If this one that you're looking at has a 20" or longer barrel, it should have no issue cycling the next round shooting steel ammo.

I have a question in regard to my ar jaming. I have a stag gas piston upper. Never had any problems with it until recently. I have had double feeds that occur regularly since I started shooting 62gr 5.56 made by lake city. I have shot 5.56 55gr and 62gr made by other brands never had any problems. Shot BVAV 5.56 62 reman. rounds no problem. I have even shot .223 and never had any problems. So my question is would poor ammo cause the double feed or would it be something else? Thanks

Never had one Issue with feeding or jamming with Wolf ammo. My setup is a BCM 14.5 carbine upper. I would do a full strip down of the AR15, than clean and lube the whole rifle. I had problems with my other AR15 that had a 7.62x39 upper on it. It would hit the primer, but nothing. We thought that it was the Wolf ammo, I did a little more research about it, and the Spring tension for the hammer was to weak for the 7.62x39. So we upgraded to a stronger spring, problem solved. Might just be a bad gas tube, wrong size, or just build up with carbon.
