Went to the Raahauges shooting fair today. I was pretty damn cool. I got to shoot some stuff I thought I'd never get a chance to, Like a 50-70 sharps, 50 cal barrett and .338 Lapua. Anybody else go? What did you think of it and what did you shoot?

Went and took my 2 boys, they love it, especially the machine guns, lots of cal gunners there. I show the lmt mws and now I want"People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."Comment

MPA pistol in 45 (thing is a brick but pretty accurate!)
Ruger Super RedHawk Alaskan in 44 mag (the .454 Casull was having issues)Comment

Went there on Saturday. I enjoyed it a lot. Overall layout is a bit different from previous years but not a bad set up. I do miss the shooting demonstrations from top shooters, and I still can't believe Glock didn't offer any G.A.P. ammo.
Calguns youth shooting booth was great. CGSSA booth just outside the entrance was very informative. Volunteers are extremely knowledgeable.
I am glad I went even though I had 2nd thoughts. Tried a few guns I wanted to try on my list and I enjoyed it.Comment

I went on Friday.. Fell in love with the savage 110 BA.. In .338 lapua. The recoil on that thing was next to none for the size if cartridge... I was going to try and purchase one at the turner booth without doing much research, but boy am I glad I didn't.. The ammo for that thing is ridiculous!!sigpicComment

it was def a good time out there. I spent pretty much all of sat at the front booth. had a good amount of people stopping by, asking questions, gathering info. it was apparent from talking with people that even though they are into shooting sports, they are not fully aware of the extent of pending legislation. some were shocked to learn that the beloved 10/22 and some old school tube fed .22 SA were about to become assault weapons. it was good to get this info to them, for their sake as well as to have them help spread the info themselves. the more people we have aware of the fight, the more we have to be vocal in the fight.
I spent sun at the youth booth. helping with tickets, handing out info, loading mags, issuing and getting back eye/ear pro, and corralling parents. it was a blast to see the kids get up there and shoot, many/most of them for the first time. the parents were always so excited to see them up there.
I barely got to get out to the rest of the show all weekend. we would go out really quick during a cease fire, then head back when it resumed. finally got out a bit more for the last hour of the day on sun, but never shot a thing. lol! I did get me a great deal on a belt from the T3 trailer, the extent of my shopping the entire time."Fight like you're the third monkey trying to get on Noah's Ark...".
The only thing that matters is rallying our cause to fight the enemy relentlessly, indifferent to the outcome of any particular battleComment
