I've wanted one of these so bad ever since I watched Desperado. This guy has the best duplicate I've ever seen. Go to to 2 minutes in.

I actually have been working on this and it's far more complicated then most people think. There are lots of issues. It's simple, but time consuming I guess is what I'm saying. My biggest issue that I've ran into, is if I make a plank that sits 1 1/2 inches below the guitar and acts as a barrier, how do I get the fabric attached to the wood panel on both sides without looking incredibly shi**y. I've spent 10 plus hours on this, and still only 50%. I guess I'm not handyman.

I'm making one too. $50 case from ebay with a built in lock.

I want the guitar facade, and that's been the most difficult. I know how to mount it, I know all the parts including the hinges, the hooks. It's just creating the appearance of a real guitar that's got me. Never thought i'd be looking for help in a craft and fabric store...
