    kac ras m4 fake/genuine

Received an excellent condition kac ras m4, but how do I tell if its real.

    Has even numbered marked rails.
Has knight (kac) markings pressed onto heat shield.
Has patent mark on top of rail.
Allen screw is present on top of rail.
Underside of top rail is labeled kac with address, and date of manufacture.

*it does not have cage code marked above date mark* all other rails I have seen had the cage code. This is why I suspect this may be a fake.

Unable to take pics, but will post soon.

    Thanks all.

What city is marked on the rail?
The fakes used to have vero beach while the current KAC should be Titusville.

Titusville. Could this be a factory second? Or are the later models made after a certain year marked with the cage code#?

      Hoping this is genuine.
