Complete KTO 80% 1911 frame without a mill

When I see men in badly lit huts with hand files, hack saws and dirt floors completely manufacturing 1911 I think. I can complete a KTO 80% 1911 frame with only hand tools.
Has anyone tried?

Nice vids! Lots of files and hand tools, I am sure you could do it. The question is how long would it take?

Wood fires to heat up the bath for anodizing, wood hand drills, hack-saws, not sure if anyone else watched until the end on the one that showed all the finished products... freaking amazing. I also did not see anyone measuring anything, nor evidence of any measuring tools laying around.

I bet with some of those older guys, they would prob react like a "cow looking at a new gate" if you dropped a mini mill off at the door...
