    Miwall Father's Day Sale - Who's Going?

It's almost time for the Annual Miwall Father's Day Sale.

    Anyone here planning to go?

Better get there early, parking is limited, time to air up the hand truck.

How was it last year? Best time to show up for minimum waiting? Any fantastic deals?

    Are you kidding?

Last year I scored 2,000 Federal small pistol Match Primers, a Brick of Remington 22's a thousand 40 cal bullets all at a good price. I'm a lightweight buyer compared to most

I went a little later, had to wait half an hour in the shade seating they provided.

Miwall handing out the call numbers really made it nice - no standing in line.

My biggest fear is visiting their consignment area - I was sorely temped by a revolver last year.

I wonder if Smith & Wesson will show up this year and allow handgun tryouts.

As long as we don't have anything come up, I am really interested in checking it out.

Also, Is this considered a gun show or just a store sale? So I know if I can carry or not.

I was there 4 years ago. Some prices were great, most were just okay. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have bought a ton more primers at $100/5,000 and XM193 at $260/1,000.

I think I showed up around 10am, and got inside around noon.

But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Well I showed up at 10 am and got a number for 2pm.

Needless to say I just forgot it and went home.

I saw many people coming out with 20,000+ primers.

We got there at 0700 and got in at 1100. Some friends were there at 0215 hrs and got in on the first wave. They were not the earliest....The #1 folks got there at 2100 hrs last night!! Getting there early didn't help you get any more stuff. I'll explain later.

Anyways Miwall had limited the primers at one case/sleeve per person per type (small rifle, small pistol, large rifle & large pistol). W-W Primers were $169 a case.....$183 with tax. Popular ammo (like 5.56mm) was limited to 1000 rds per person. 22lr was one brick per person. 17hmr was unlimited though. Not sure about powder, but it looked unlimited. As other friends exited the warehouse I de-briefed them. My friends and I then had a game plan. It was easy. I went with four guys and so we were flip flopping primer purchases amongst each other and we all got what we wanted.

Boy Scouts offered free BBQ hot dogs too (I gave to a donation jar). They also helped load stuff into your car if needed.

Due to this limitation it didn't matter if your there early or late. There was product there!! The prices may not have been the lowest, but there was product there. There was even an area inside where you could drop off your heavy stuff and they would tag it for you while you looked around for more stuff! Everyone there was very respectful and helpful. This was true of the employees and the crowd. My friends and I were worried this trip was going to be for nothing, but we all got what we were looking for. This was a very smooth operation.
