AR 80% build question...Different guy different Question

Ok, I have decided that I would like to join the 80% build group. However, I seriously know nothing about ARs and I am trying to learn but it seems like I cannot find a person to walk me through it a bit. I don't have any friends into the sport like I am so I am on an island... I was looking to jump in on the next San Diego build and I was wondering, to start, after I get the 80% and I do the 20% is there someone to hel p guide the 20% part? I dont want to screw it up.... AND what is a jig? I dont even know what all the parts are. It sucks and is embarrassing but here I am lost asking for directions. Sarcastic remarks will make me laugh along with you as long as you mix it in with instruction. I have thick skin.
