    80% question

Say I buy an 80% lower. A nice anodized one. Then I do the CNC thing to make it a operational lower. Would not all of the machined places be raw aluminum again? What do you do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,

Don't buy the anodized version. I muvh preger tp not have the fcg pins and pocket be exposed aluminum.Buy the raw, finish it and then anodize it. Slowly there is a growing list in the gunsmith ing section of ano/playing shops that will do that.

If it's going from the safe to the range then it doesn't matter too much ifyou have exposed aluminum. But, if you plan on taking your rifle to hell and back then do what LMTluvr said and buy a raw lower and anodize it after you finished the CNC work

If you do buy an anodized one and finish it, buy some anti walk hammer and trigger pins. That will keep the holes from possibly becoming enlarged due to use. And as stated above, if its not gonna be field gun, doesn't really matter much about the inside being anodized.

          ^^Yup!

Those will help minimize wear from rotating pins. As far as the FCG area, I kinda like the way the machine work stands out! Just got to be careful so you don't chum up the anodized finish while machining.
