I think I will try this one out since 50 Cal gets heavy.

        Nice.

Personally I either use a UBBT or the knife I always carry.

UBBT here also. I'll always have the tool with me. Unless I happen to forget my magazines

UBBT too. It just makes so much sense having the tool attached to your next mag.

Something like this might be nice to have even if you use the UBBT... when your last mag is in the rifle and the rest are back there somewhere on the ground, for example.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Nice! Think I'll make one. Or maybe a whole bunch and sell them! j/k, that's what you should do! I don't want to steal your idea.
                  Sorry, not sorry.

I made something similar to yours OP. I found a cool tether at a ARMY surplus. drilled one of my extra dummy rounds that came with my Magpul ACS-L stock. I also drilled a small hole in the "Bullet Button Wrench" just to have on hand too.

                            OK-Newb Time!!!
                            What's a UBBT?
Are there actual statutes or case law that prohibit the tool from being attached to your firearm or sling? I'd love a reference because that was my understanding, and it is what I had been telling people who were in violation of said "Law," until someone "wise in the ways of men" asked for a reference. I looked and I looked, but could only find a written "Cautionary" tale, no law, case records or legislation specific to the tool being "part" of the gun if it is attached (never heard about the sling addendum).

I use a tool velcroed to the closure on my shooting gloves (which are really just bicycle gloves that hold the tool) or similarly attached to the left (off) side of my 308., a practice which, should suitable reference be forthcoming (God I sound like an *** at times, ya know?), I will cease immediately.
