    Decent site for my M&P15

7 more days and it can be picked up

as stated in another post I bought my first AR variant rifle, the S&W M&P15 Sport

its fairly generic, but, first thing I want to do is add a site

it's going to be used mainly as a range rifle, we don't hunt, so looking for a decent site that could be used there, mainly something in the 25 to 100 yard range

a good red dot that meets those yardage specs sounds nice...hopefully some of you more experienced calgunners can steer me in the right direction for a good one and what I should expect to pay for it...there are lots out there, I have no clue what best suits me

even a few links to a few decent ones would be greatly appreciated

You can't go wrong with an Aimpoint or EOTech. But at that range you really only need irons. Red dot sights also aren't scopes since there is no magnification unless you add a magnifier.

yes, I failed to realize what I posted...I edited the original post to reflect what I really meant

we are not looking for any kind of magnification

red dot would be fine, I will give the iron sights a try before we decide...the M&P we test fired at Field Time had a real nice EoTech biohazard site...we both liked it, thought it might be an nice addition to the EBR

The Burris AR-332 is a decent one if an Eotech/Aimpoint is too steep.

Yes meaning too much $ ( a little slang), which I think you figured. I have seen some like new 512s for decent prices in the MP!
