    Strange event last night

I was down at my shop last night working on my wifes Mother's day present. It's about 11pm and I'm just about to finish up. Had the roll up door open about 3/4's of the way up, since I was using the tools out of my van. Out of the corner of my eye I see something moving. I figured it was just something out side, but since I had my revolver sitting on the table next to me, I pick it up. As I turn around, there's some stringy looking crack head standing about three feet INSIDE the door. I asked "can I help you" in a what the hell do you think you are doing voice. You should have seen it, the dude turned white as a ghost. It was clearly obvious he saw the gun. He says, NO NO it's fine and runs out. I just stood there trying to figure out what just happened. Talk about a rush.

I walk out side and see the guy riding his bike out of the lot like a BIG dog is chasing him.

Probably not the brightest idea to have the door open that late. I don't think I'll do that anymore. Just thought I'd share.

heheh, ya cant catch a crackhead, so no use in chasing him! Glad to hear it worked out ok for you. But you did all right! Next time lock the gate so they cant get into the building if you have one!

Similar thing happened to me, but I'm on a lot of acreage with nobody around, so visitors are rare.
I was toward dusk so I was open carrying because mountain lions are not an unusual site up here and the deer were very plentiful last year on my property. Anyway, I notice a door to one of my shops I never use (it has three doors) was ajar, but I figured my son and his friend were out there the day before. Anyway, turned the corner and was face to face with a crackhead holding a bunch of my hand tools.
He looked at me, looked at my sidearm, dropped my stuff, turned tail and ran.
Sheriff's officer picked him up about 30 minutes later.
My shops are locked up now...

Good job....The loud and commanding voice probably did as much as the gun itself. Be careful out there.......

That area of town must of changed over the past few years.

is the gun and knife club still open down the street from your shop?

Ya your right. He's probably high on draino. The way the complex is set up, I can't lock it down at night since tow trucks come in and out all night long. It seems about every 6 month's this starts to escalate around there. Vehicle break ins, vandals, and thefts. I bet it's going to start again. I've been down there at night before and seen them messing around(hense protection), but never been snuck up on.

That is an interesting take on Kestryll.
