Well my local gun shop is offering cerokote now and I was thinking of getting my sp-01 done up in white, something different, don't know if I should get the whole gun done or just the frame, was gonna switch out the blue grips for blacks grips also to get the black and white color scheme, not 100% about getting it done not sure how white cerokote will hold up, I don't shoot much and was wondering what you guys think?

Since you're asking for our opinion... I think it will look hideous. Why white? I can understand FDE or OD, but white would just make it stick out.
I would never do it, but to each their own. There was another member here that did his rifle in lime green.
BTW, here's a pic I found of a white gun.

Anything but fde or od, they're so common it might as well be black. Go bold or go home, I went teal.
I think a light gray would look really nice.

Yes, definitely get it in white. You should drop off your AR too so they will match.
Ok, in all seriousness, definitely don't do it. Its not that it wont hold up, it will just look whack.
Maybe go two tone and do either the slide or frame in titanium. That might look fine, but steer clear of white.

Why is it glossy? Isn't FDE supposed to be FLAT dark earth? I've seen many coated "F"DE guns lately that are glossy, is this the new trend?

I guess if it will match your iPhone and man purse feel free...I had a pistol done in cerakote (OD) and it wasn't all that great a finish to me, it didn't hold up as great as they said it would...NRA Lifetime member
