Whats the preferred method (cheapest) to ship brass?

I hear people talking about priority box... how many .45 cases can I get into a box?

they mean the "flat rate" priority boxes. its like 10 bucks anywhere in the 48 states. i think the dimentions are 12x9x8 but im not sure. you can fit a bunch of em in one.

USPS FLAT RATE box.

They have a couple of sizes (one is more rectangular and smaller, the other on is longer but flatter), so it is better for you to go to a USPS post office and take the boxes and try them out (they are free).

I never shipped .45 brass, but I know for a fact that you can pack like 1k+ 223 brass in one box. And like 2k 9mm bullets....

And no matter how *heavy* the box is, as long as you can fit them into the box, they will ship it.... FLAT RATE... under $10....

I think you can fit about 1000 .45acp cases into one of them.

I believe the two flat rate boxes are different shapes, but hold the exact same amount of brass... as they are identical in Cubic inches. You can 1500 .45s in there i think.

They also have a new larger flat rate box... like $12-13, and its quite a bit bigger. No need to ship two $10 boxes anymore!

I was able to get 2000 .45 brass into one flat rate box! They fit perfect, no bulging. Thanks guys for the info.

No, it was the $8.95 one I think.. it was the taller squatty one. 2000 rounds in small zip lock bags of 100 each.
