    GuyInCalifornia

    WTF is this?

You thought it'd be a good idea to whore California residents and CalGuns out to the rest of the States?

Well, if they come with ultra high prices, who cares dont buy them. If someone is stupid enough not to search around for a fair deal, then let them pay.

I just don't think we need outsiders coming in and trying to sell us overpriced guns, then telling us how bad our state is. I'd rather keep it in the family... ya know?

Hello other states, come sell us your guns for twice as much as they are worth. Heck, maybe after dinner you guys could gang **** my sister.
            Is she pretty? :P

First, taking seriously anything discussed on "ARf.com" might be excused if you were a newbie. Second, buying an AK-type lower, legally, is tricky enough buying from a manufacturer. You'd have to be nuts to buy one from a gunny in another state, on his word that it was Cali-legal. If someone is that stupid and naive I'm not sure I'd want them to own guns in the first place.

And third: Value is relative. Six years ago you could get an E. German Makarov for $150. Now they sell for almost $400. Same gun, but a lot more scarce. I see guns at shops that are selling "on consignment", and so don't have to be on the approved gun list. Their price is usually very high, but where else are you going to be able to find it? This is just one of the prices of living in the "Golden State".

You will be working on the 2008 RKBA Ballot Initiative, won't you?

It seems to be proven time and again on the for sale threads that most "outsiders" and out of state vendors who make an attempt to sell on this board don't have a friggin clue how to do this type of business correctly in CA anyway. I personally don't want to buy from someone who doesn't take the time to make sure they are up to speed.

Furthermore, I personally don't like the idea of patronizing anyone who only posts in the for sale threads (that goes for any forum). It smacks of opportunistic car salesman tactics. It also compounds and in the end leaves Ramon in the same bind the ARFCOM guys probably dealt with...a high seller to contributor ratio. Hence the charges for vendors to sell on ARFCOM.
