Freedom Munitions ammo question

I purchased some from a Calgunner and got a great deal, IMO, on some 308 ammo... At least it is for me while I learn to shoot better. I am curious what gives with the plastic tip?

Have not seen it. I've only bought 9mm JHP and FMJ from them, good ammo. No problems at all. +1
