Tac aids. I just print out tables, laminate them and tape them into the front of my memo pad.

Waste of money. I shoot precision rifle competition. Never seen or heard of those... IE no one uses them....

Google "jbm ballistics" use the trajectory calculator.

If you shoot more common bullets, it's in the library, select the bullet, enter the vel/temp/altitude/etc. (not in the library, you enter the BC for that bullet)

Run the calculation and verify that data against what the rifle really shoots at distance. If they dont match, play with vel until the chart is correct.

        Print.

Shrink it on a copier, laminate, tape to side of stock.

Free besides a copier and lamination....

People with smart phones also use free ballistic apps. App depends on iphone or droid.

        Droid.

Shooting solution, kuballistics are both free. I think it could be convenient perhaps, but I wouldnt rely on those. I prefer paper taped on the rifle.

Obviously you need 2 charts for the different ammo you shoot.

Look closely at all the options in JBM.... output in any distance increments you want yds or meters, drop is in inches, metric, 2nd column output can be moa or mils. You select how it displays the data.

I print 2 charts- one in MOA and one in MILs. Cut out the mil column and add it to the other chart so I have both points of reference.

However, when I get a new scope based on mils, with .1mil adjustments, I will no longer have any use for MOA data....

So.... what I'm saying is, it has all the tools built in that you could need, and will give you the info you want (must verify at distance) Just select the data that applies to you.

And save your $18 on those silly premade charts.

Here is how I deal with two different loads...
Zero the gun with the load you use the most.
Then shoot the 2nd load and see where it's zero is without changing your zero for the new load.
Using a ballistic program, enter the zero offset and make your soft dope include the offsets.

This has worked very well for me.

I use a mil-dot master kinda along the same lines I guess. I find it to be pretty helpful but you still need to be diligent. I use Spot-on from Nikon too pretty nifty tool.
