    The "panic" price of ammo

I just love how the panic buying of ammunition has sent the price through the roof. It happened with primers two or three years ago. Everyone bought all they could at whatever price they could find.........and the "players" got STUCK with a ton of overpriced primers once production caught up.
I see all of our "brother-in-arms" are on the band wagon, liquidating stocks they have had for years at rape-a-stranger prices.
    Pitiful, nay shameful, to watch.
I'll resume buying when production catches up with the mania.
    Just my $.02 worth

Don't like current ammo prices? Should've stock up and stack'em deep when the price was to your liking.

Thus part of the reason behind my M&P 15-22... Yes the prices are up but I can afford to blow through ammo with it.

            Ronnie,
Thousands of rounds in all calibers stacked deep, thank you.
            I'm not hurting for ammo.
As I said at the end of my post.........my $.02 worth.

I wouldn't suggest liquidating the stock just as of yet.....

He has it backwards. Not surprising from someone who finds it necessary to start another thread about this.

OP, you realize that this new level of buying is not going to be permanent. It is going to go down. Ammo manufacturers know this, and therefore probably won't add machines and staff for a short lived craze. meaning Ammo prices and availability will return once people stop buying so much. I doubt very much that too many manufacturers will want to meet the currently inflated demand

                          Repub,
Yes I do realize that. That is WHY I am not going to buy now as I don't have a NEED to buy now. I did the same thing with the great primer scare of 2010.
The manufacturers are NOT going to add equipment to handle the bubble. They may add shifts but that is about it.
For those bellyaching about ANOTHER thread. Sorry didn't know I had to read the whole site to see if this was covered in the two months I've been out of the country.
Don't read if it you are tired of it.
