    LAX firing range

moved back to the westside (of LA) and LAX firing range is once again the most accessible range. what's it like these days--do they let members/reloaders pick up their own brass? how's the staff? are the rentals clean? i used to go to TFL in burbank and northridge, which were awesome and cheaper ($150/year, rarely crowded, clean), so i'd be interested in hearing how they compare...

(mostly concerned about the brass :P)

    thanks!

I like LAX better, and I live in Burbank.

You can't shoot anything but pistol caliber in Burbank. LAX you can bring your AK and AR

Don't know if you can pick up your brass, but they've always been really friendly whenever I'm there. Good selection and friendly shooters too.

I think that they don't let you police your own brass cause they use them for there reloads that they sell

            I may be wrong.

IME nobody is really watching the firing line. That's good and bad. Last time I was there I picked up my brass, good. The kids next to me and my gf were waving their guns around and breaking almost every gun safety rule and nobody said anything, bad. YMMV.
