How high will Pythons prices go ?

Just wondering if I want a Colt Python should I buy it now or wait. What do you think, will the value's continue to go up in price or go down in the future?

I say they will continue to rise in price. Each time a California python is sold to an out-of-state buyer the values are likely to increase. That python will not likely ever come back to CA. California Python inventory can only decrease not increase because 1) its off roster and can only be had via Ppt with another CA resident 2) they don't make them anymore 3) SSE/SA conversions are not likely. Supply is already low (just observe the CG marketplace) and decreasing. Demand, even if it doesn't increase, will increase the CA pythons value, because of the declining supply.

I don't see prices going up. Each year, more Pythons will be available in CA as they hit the 50 year mark.

I think rare models will go up, standard models will keep up with inflation.

Apparently they will continue to go up until I stop buying them.

I believe they will keep going up. They are iconic and very desirable and the demand is increasing but the supply is not.

At some point, Colt will start making these again. There is no way you can't make them for less than what they currently cost. They are not all that fantastic of a revolver when it comes to fit and finish versus what they cost.

I doubt Colt can make them again.

Lack of skilled smiths and they don't make anything now with that type of blueing. I doubt they still can.

I'm buying the next 4" blued one I see. I'll bet it makes an excellent piece of my collection for a decade or more, and I don't loose money on it in the long run.

                              colt

I was thinking of selling mine. 6 in bright nickel, sat in my safe for 20 yrs. Before that it was my uncles. Keeping the 6 in 22 Diamondback.
I have never fired it. It was too pretty.
