Help with my econ. project regarding the weapons industry

Doing a project for my class regarding how the weapons industry affects the GDP, meaning how much our government spent on guns and how much civilians spent on guns. Also taking into account how the industry is affected by wars and the threat of AWB, like the latest one.

So the question I'm asking help with is: Would you consider military vehicles, tanks, fighter planes, etc as part of the weapons industry?

Answer: Yes. Watch the series on youtube called "Why We Fight". Its about how the United States is in a "military-industrial complex." Talks about the rise of our military, but they put an emphasis on the Iraq War. Check it out might help.

Thanks! Right now just digging through Google for some numbers on how much we spent on guns for both the government and civilians. Guess I should include tanks and such in my numbers now too.
