    Milpitas Citation - Illegal Discharge

Was it a member that was cited and lost a SG a few weeks ago in Milpitas?

I read some 19-year old thought it a good idea to shoot Dove's (out of season) behind the sewage treatment plan off McCarthy Blvd and Coyote Creek. End result was citation and confiscation of the shot gun.

Knucklehead could lose a lot more than his shotgun. Much of that area is part of the Don Edwards National Wildlife Reserve. Seasonal waterfowl hunting is allowed if a permit is obtained. Without a permit, you are hosed, especially if you hit a clapperrail or other endangered bird.

just so you know all you need to shoot waterfowl INSEASON on don edwards nat.wildlife preserve is to have a CA hunting licence and both fed and CA duck stamps NO SPECIAL PERMIT IS NEEDED that said the acused appears guilty of poaching which is Serious and yes IF found guilty will be in some trouble but i find that poaching and most other DFG violations in urban areas are normaly treated as low level offence and punishments are not so severe probably more trouble if they get him for discharging a firearm in city limits

Wow. Punctuation and sentence structure are your friends. Ours too, unless you expect us to go to the trouble of deciphering your thoughts.

I should have checked the maps before posting. There are sections of the refuge where a special use permit is required, but the Calaveras Creek area isn't one of them.

To clarify, Milpitas is not within the Don Edwards area. The area of Coyote Creek and McCarthy Blvd the guy was in is private not public property, is within City Limits, which also is a no shooting zone.
