dunno about those but the 7.62x39 value packs at my local walmart are a terrible deal...
...and the trees were all made equal by hatchet, axe, and sword...

      These have been discussed before.
I buy them whenever I can find a Walmart that stocks them.
Trouble is finding one that does stock them...

There was a 60 page thread at arf on this as they were $47 a pack last year then the price creeped up to $54 then $57 then they disappeared off the shelf all together.

Have not heard of them coming back but if so looks like 50% inflation in just one year.

So what is going up faster......bread or ammo or gas or rice?

I have never seen a value pack of .223 at WallyWorld, therefore they muct not exist.

I have never seen them in Ca but last weekend I bought them while in Carson city. They are boxed like the rounds I buy from federal at Wildsports but they are bulk boxed. The 50gr are JHP for varminting. The whole ammo expense thing is crazy. I love to shoot so I'm pretty much moving everything to 9mm handgun wise and I may buy an AR 9mm.. I sold most of my 1911 Colts in 45 because I quit shooting them. I also like to shoot 38 specials from my levers and Lframes. Good shooting to all and maybe we'll see some of that ammo here. RB

Elk Grove Walmart has tons-o-ammo but have not seen the .223 bulk stuff. Boat loads of WWB 9, 40, and 45 FYI.

I've never seen them in CA, either.
