A road trip won't do you any good without the proper importation permits.

Sir, I have gotten numerous guns into my home past my wife.

Getting a few thousand rounds past customs should be a breeze.

You sure your wife is not on CalGuns reading this post, OP?

Seriously though, that's such a tease. Wish that was the price here.

Do you need a Canadian ID to buy ammo in Canada?

So. In a non-panic, non-price gouging environment, there is no scarcity and the going price for .22 ammo is $0.044 per round. (After converting Canadian $ to U.S.)

There's the benchmark for the marketplace.

If the ability to buy cheap ammo requires a nationwide 5 round magazine limit, I'd just as soon pass.

                        With all due respect, WTF?

Canada does have some limitations on magazines, but not all magazines are always limited to 5 rounds.

Regardless, magazine size controls have nothing to do with the price of the ammo available. By your logic (?), if they did, then California would have ammo available at $0.01/rd and Wyoming would be paying $5/rd. (New York would be giving it away).
