    magazine disconnect

a friend just bought a gen 3 glock 19 and he said when the slide is open and looking into the magazine opening, there's a piece of wire sticking out.
    Is is a mag disconnect?
when he get home tonight, he'll try pulling the trigger without the mag to see what happens.

I'm a Glock armorer, Got a pic? Could be mag release spring, could be the slide release spring improperly installed. No mag disconnect on Glocks.

Piece of wire? You sure your friend isn't talking about the ejector? If so, that's not a piece of wire.

Could be that too ^^^^^ That's why a pic is best.

Glock (any gen) does not have a magazine disconnect.

I would guess he is looking down at the ejector as well.

The only "wires" one can see looking into the ejection port or from the magazine well are the magazine release spring and the slide stop spring..

That or like the others said he's seeing the ejector.. which is a flat piece of metal.

              GLOCKs don't have magazine disconnects.
