Hello fellow calgunners, In february of this year I purchased,on layaway, a stainless, synthetic stock ruger mini 14 ranch rifle from a so cal sporting goods dealer with multiple locations. I Was told the delivery time would be 2-8 weeks and with the gun rush and everything I was OK with that .It has been almost 10 weeks now and still no word. I was still OK with that until last weekend when I visited a 1 location gun shop and there was 2 brand new stainless, synthetic mini 14's on the rack for sale. So, my question is how does this work? I put a gun on layaway with a 33% down payment at a big so cal dealer wait 10 weeks= nothing, then walk in to a small shop off the street and they have the exact gun in the rack in stock for sale Explain to me how this works Thanks

The small shop got a delivery and the other one didn't, still a bit of a panic going on so deliverys of just about everything are screwy.
Maybe the one location place got their order in sooner.
You could always try calling the place you put a deposit down and seeing about status.Yes, I am an electrical engineer.
No, I will not fix your computer. -
The small shop probably got their order in 12 weeks ago. What's confusing about that?Comment
