    Ccw ?

I currently live in LA county, but my parents live in OC(laguna hills) and was wondering if it was legal/a problem using their addy to apply for a CCW in OC?
    What say you?

    Don't do it.

This is not wise for several reasons.

First, you would be lying on the application, and it (the app.) asks you if all of the information you have stated is 100% true... They conduct a background check. If you lie, they will find out about the lie.

Second, you have to show proof of residency, like a utility bill with your name and address on it.

I'm sure there are more, but these are the first two that occured to me.

I disagree, unless it says something about "primary residence" on your application I do not think you would be breaking any laws if you did use your parent's home address. Especially if that is where you lived while growing up.

There is no laws about having two residential addresses. However keep in mind, when they do a background check and send an officer out to talk to your neighbors. If they said "Jester...who....we don't know no stinking Jester". Your application will be denied and your application fee forfeited.

But then again I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV.

        Thanks guys!
Well, maybe I'll try it, seeing as all I'll loose is my application fee.
I'll think on it some more.....

There is no application fee. I just submitted mine a few weeks ago and there was no fee. Once they approve you to proceed, there is a fee, but not to just submit the application.

Also, 50 Freak, if it is his parents house, how is he going to show a utility bill in his name for that address? A "current utility bill in your name at an Orange County address" was one of the forms of documentation required of me.

if you are going to do this you need to change your license and voting reg to that oc address...otherwise you will be fine if you do that!
