let us know how many rounds you get through your gun before the lense falls out.

For really real?? I'd run over my AR before I'd put a pos scope like UTG on it, I'd seriously rather eat cat **** with a knittin needle .
Maybe next time ask the people with real guns what they think before you buy.Last edited by SocomM4; 04-07-2013, 7:57 PM.Originally posted by TeddyBallgamemaybe I'm wrong, but, if a $50.00 investment can help me a bit, i'll just have to go a day without the hookers and blow to cover it

I can't afford a Leupold or Nikon as of now... figured I'd give this guy a shot since it is affordable and has great reviews. I read quite a few people put it on their AR-15's and .308's with over 300 rds and still doing great.
I'm gonna stay optimistic and hope it works out... I'll keep you guys posted.
SocomM4, I'd rather see you eat cat sh*t too...

redfield makes a decent scope for the money. its no leupold. but it will hold up to alot more than the utg. and it wont cost an arm and a leg.Comment

You probably spent $125-$145 On that scope with shipping and what not. A decent Nikon is about $114 IIRCI can't afford a Leupold or Nikon as of now... figured I'd give this guy a shot since it is affordable and has great reviews. Everybody here hates UTG/Leapers. Funny thing is its because of what they heard on the internet and have no personal experience. Just like any manufacture there are some lemons and those are the only stories you hear. I have a Leapers scope on my Remy 700 in 308 and have put several hundred rounds through it w/o losing zero or any pieces falling off. If your taking the rifle to fight the Mexican cartels then get a military grade optic, if your just shooting at range this will be fine.Comment

OP, if you don't want to take a punch, start your thread with what do you think @ this scope? You will come to find people are brutal. Something like a father not letting his son buy a POS car that he really wants. Some have wasted the money others have not. It's your money. There are a lot better scopes out there per $ spent. You can find a lot of people who have done the same research with less of a budget. You don't have to purchase highest $ to get a good deal, but very few would have recommended a UTG for anything other than airsoft ( I hate airsoft). Good luck & hope it works out for you.......Originally posted by mykKestryll is Chuck Norris' Calguns screen name...Originally posted by MQUnlimitedMy dilemma is keep it or sell it...either way, she's pissed...thinking about placing a cape around her neck and yelling "now you're super mad!!!"Comment

I am with you that a lot of criticism of stuff in general on the web is parroted and not rooted in personal experience.Everybody here hates UTG/Leapers. I wouldn't put a cheap UTG scope on an AR-10, because it would just taint an otherwise fine rifle deserving of good optics.
Slightly off topic, I will slam brands like Barska all day long. I bought a $25 spotting scope that sucks unbelievably. A friend mounted a brand new Barska red dot and the glass cracked on the very first shot after it was mounted. (I was there)
I bought a Cabela's brand rimfire scope and the glass fell out of it before I ever even fired a single round.Comment

With all due respect to people that take the time to post online reviews, I wonder how many of these are 'table top reviews' based on initial appearance, and not based on any actual shooting or range time.Comment
