AR-15 issues

Hey guys,


So I built a CA- LEGAL AR-15 in 5.56 and it is acting up right away. I built the lower and Riflegear built the upper, (They did a great job and I don't think it's them). To test fire the rifle I loaded one round into the magazine, BANG no problem, all went well. When I loaded two rounds into the magazine BURP, both went off without me controlling the trigger. Obviously I did not build the rifle to be this way..... It is malfunctioning. The bolt was also stuck back but not all the way as it should have been. Any ideas? I know I need to take it into a gunsmith and have it looked at but I just wanted to get an idea of what might be going on........ 5.56 barrel, .223 Remington UMC ammo, Aluminum lower.

Function check the fire controls. Strip the mag,Clear the chamber, dry fire it and hold the trigger down, while holding the trigger , cycle the bolt carrier. Then release the trigger. If the disconnector is working you should hear a click as the trigger resets. Start there. I'd be willing to bet the disco spring is in upside down.

wait what? it did not go into battery. what do you mean the bolt was stuck back? and did it slam fire as you pulled the trigger when you had 2 rounds in the mag. or it fired on its own when you released the bolt to load the chamber.

1 round in the mag, feeds, fires, ejects. 2 rounds in the mag, feeds, BANG BANG with ONE trigger pull, the bolt gets stuck.

Yep make sure that spring is in correctly.

The Disconnector spring is upside down. The fat end goes into the trigger troth. The skinny end pushes up on the disconnector. If its upside down, when the disconnector compresses the spring, the fat end locks the whole spring into the troth and the disconnector stays in the down position and never forced the FCG to reset.
