Cerakote or Duracoat?

I'm looking to upgrade some of my guns with either a Cerakote or Duracoat. Any thoughts as to which one?

Agree, I have three Cerakote handguns, very happy with the finish, just seems smoother and cleaner then Dura. Either finish will wear with use. Just the reality if you use your gun like it was intended.

Stormvets right. Cerakoted my shotgun, and I USE it. I beat it up. Drop it. Once i didnt time the forearm nut amd shot about 50 rounds. It left a good scratch on the cerakoat but nothing drastic. I tried duracoat on a lower and mag changes beat up the edges of the magwell and the stock did the same to the buffer tube. Go cerakote!

Cerakote is practicably permanent. Duracote is very temporary. Both need to be prepped and applied properly or your wasting your time and $$

KG guncoat or norrells..
Goes on thin solvent proof.
Already mixed
Needs to be sandblasted off

Dura coat----.
Thicker
Removable with paint remover

Alumahyde has ease of spray paint aplication

Depending on your need should dictate which one you use
