    NFA Trust question...

Say I set up an NFA trust to have an NFA weapon (legal, yadda yadda yadda). Say that I want to go in 1/2 and 1/2 with a friend on said NFA weapon and his name is on the trust as well as mine...

    Questions regarding this:

    A) Is that even possible to have a name next to mine on the trust other than a beneficiary, if that is even possible with an NFA weapon?
    B) If his name can be put on the trust, does this mean that he can use the weapon without me being present whenever he wants? Or is it a "one owner, one title" sort of a thing? How does it work with married people?

Just some thoughts running through my head as I made some more furrows in my garden about 30min ago.

I can hardly wait to see the responses on this one, hehehe.

Yes, there are A/B trusts that are designed for husband/wife. So, having multiple trustees is possible.

However, in the mega-ARFcom trust thread, http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=17&t=199942 , stuff like having 3+ trustees, so that any trustee have possession at the range was talked about. When lawyers were asked about it, they could not see the reasoning for so many trustess, and some even questioned the legality of it.

In any case, the complexity of the trust would probably be more than you'd want to try in Willmaker, so spend the money for a trust lawyer to draft a trust that would cover all the possibiltiies.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

No posts of mine are to be construed as legal advice, which can only be given by a lawyer.
