I have a parkerized 1911 and want to have the frame refinished.
I checkered the front strap and used touch-up in that area. I either have to oil it often or rust will develope.
the controls (GS, MS, slide release and thumb safety) are dark color and want to keep it that way. what are my options? should I keep it parkerized or try other finishing? I prefer not to ship and be able to drop it off. I found phantom finishing in concord but they do cerakoe and not sure if they do parkerizing. Is black cerakoe also and option and will blend it nice with the controls?
Also, do i need to remove the grip screw bushings and re-use them or they'll do that?
