    BEWARE OF PURCHASE FROM AR15PLUS.COM

i PURCHASED A NON COMPLETED AR LOWER FROM AR15PLUS .COM IN FEB.They were back ordered ,but charged my credit card as they told me to be put on the list to order my non complete ar-15 lower when they would have them in about a monthto 2 months.Well with the frenzy I went along with it.The ad showed what I ASSUMED it was and 80% complete lower by the picture and the description given in the ad as I did not expect to give a description of every hole. The description of the Anodized was a mil a8625 tupe 2 class2 anodized finish.then a note use a sheet of typing paper as a scratch guard in the jig to prevent damage to the anodized finish.(not a hard anodized finish?)
I received my lower anf first noticed that the finish was dull and wass kind of stained by the packing.I looked at the machining the first thing I noticed was the pistol grip threaded hole was not done then the threaded whole in the buffer tube was not done either.Well I decided to go ahead and take it to the machine shop to do the 20% I thought would finish it as I have to do the machining.I would ask them if they could do those holes to finish the what I thought was and 80% lower for me.Once I got there they looked at it and found it was also missing all the detent holes, and the mag lock hole.I dd not tell them about the typing paper and when I got it back to do my part I noticed little specs in the finish from chips,.I have bought a 80% froom other companys an the one I was machining and never had to put paper around it and I do not think it is very good to do any way because of the coolant.I never had a problem with the ones I did before just cleaning the coolant off, that is why they did not put paper on it when they drilled the other holes.I finished my receiver ,but before I started I had them do the holes first,I also had to pay them extra to finish the holes to make it and 80 %.
I got home late because in having to wait for them to finish my lower and then the time I had to do my part I phoned the company Vida Rica,INc which sells under AR15 plus .com on the web and did not get a response just leave a message .Well today they phoned me ,I had looked at there ad again and they machined their receiver JUST AS DESCRIBED IN THE AD,I also had another lower receiver ordered by a single shot no mag which was still back ordered because they were trying to get the others out first. The lady I talked to ask why I called ad I said I was dis appointed in what I received and I had to pay to get it finished to 80% nad I read their ad and said yes you gave me what the ad said but the picture made me think It was an 80% receiver and she said that I was going to have to do that part myself. She said all you guys in California are use to getting more done and just going in and pushing the buttons to finish the last 20% WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE THE DETENT HOLES THE BUFFER HOLES ,THE PISTOL GRIP THREADED HOLE .I told her I was alright with the ad and what I bought but I thought her ad was miss leading and she should put down 60% or something like that. She said no one else in the other states had complained and they where getting to do the other hole to finish their lower to other company standard and they had been doing their first before Tactical machine started doing theirs as 80% lowers and everyone else followed their lowers .She asked me what I wanted to do and I asked if she would give me part of what I paid to finish hers she said no and did I want to cancel my other lower order and I said yes. Then she said she was going to charge me 4% to cancel because I used a credit card that she charged for the lowers in FEB.I said do I have a choice. She canceled my order.I HOPE ANY BODY WILL NOT HAVE TO GO THRU WHAT i DID JUST TO GET A 80% LOWER WITH THIS COMPANY.I JUST HAD A GUT FEELING I WAS IN TROUBLE FROM THE START AND YOU SHOULD GO WITH YOUR GUT FEELINGS,I HOPE SOMEONE CAN LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY IN TEXAS AS WE ARE IN CALIFORNIA AND GET TREATED DIFFERENT OR EXPECT BETTER PRODUCTS.one thumb short

the only thing that seems odd is the lack of detent pin holes, unless you meant takedown pin holes which generally are not there. I do hope your machine shop is an appropriate FFL to finish the manufacture of your lower, otherwise you might be in some hot water, as the only other legal way to finish a 80% lower is to do so yourself.

I will offer this, 80% doesn't have a legal meaning. different vendors machine their products to approximately the same level of completeness and often advertise them as being 80%, but at least one vendor advertises their non-firearm AR machining as being 95%. The number doesn't mean anything. What one company offers as 80% may be another's 60%.

I got home late because in having to wait for them to finish my lower and then the time I had to do my part I phoned the company Vida Rica,INc which sells under AR15 plus .com on the web and did not get a response just leave a message.

Well today they phoned me, I had looked at there ad again and they machined their receiver JUST AS DESCRIBED IN THE AD, I also had another lower receiver ordered by a single shot no mag which was still back ordered because they were trying to get the others out first.

The lady I talked to ask why I called and I said I was disappointed in what I received and I had to pay to get it finished to 80% and I read their ad and said yes you gave me what the ad said but the picture made me think It was an 80% receiver and she said that I was going to have to do that part myself.

She said all you guys in California are use to getting more done and just going in and pushing the buttons to finish the last 20% WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE THE DETENT HOLES THE BUFFER HOLES ,THE PISTOL GRIP THREADED HOLE .

I told her I was alright with the ad and what I bought but I thought her ad was miss leading and she should put down 60% or something like that. She said no one else in the other states had complained and they where getting to do the other hole to finish their lower to other company standard and they had been doing their first before Tactical machine started doing theirs as 80% lowers and everyone else followed their lowers .

She asked me what I wanted to do and I asked if she would give me part of what I paid to finish hers she said no and did I want to cancel my other lower order and I said yes.

Then she said she was going to charge me 4% to cancel because I used a credit card that she charged for the lowers in FEB. I said do I have a choice. She canceled my order.

I HOPE ANY BODY WILL NOT HAVE TO GO THRU WHAT i DID JUST TO GET A 80% LOWER WITH THIS COMPANY. I JUST HAD A GUT FEELING I WAS IN TROUBLE FROM THE START AND YOU SHOULD GO WITH YOUR GUT FEELINGS, I HOPE SOMEONE CAN LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY IN TEXAS AS WE ARE IN CALIFORNIA AND GET TREATED DIFFERENT OR EXPECT BETTER PRODUCTS. one thumb short
So you didn't agree with their 80% and thought it was more like 60%. You are warning people of this fact.

You paid a machine shop to drill some of the holes. I wouldn't publicize that.

You had to pay a 4% charge to cancel your order. You were charged this because AR15parts.com was charged this by the Credit Card company to process your order. Sorry, many business do this. I have also seen them add on another 4% for a restocking fee if they already did something with your order, like ordering parts from other vendors in your behalf.
