most likely he is looking for an out-of-state FFL willing to be a middleman between someone selling a firearm but not willing to ship it to CA (hates CA or won't do CFLC, etc) or convert it to CA-specs before shipping it. With a middleman FFL, that FFL will receive the shipment from the seller and make it CA-legal (if need be) and do the CFLC paperwork to ship it to the buyer's local FFL.

nothing illegal about it, not a straw purchase. In the past, there were FFLs that made good money just reshipping firearms for CA buyers. $25-50 was the going rate IIRC.

There was a time when local FFL's didn't have the cool EBR stuff. Thus there were many options for "middle-men". Oh, how times have changed.

I need to find a trustworthy, out-off state FFL with good communcation, that i can have things shipped to and californicated, then shipped to my FFL in CA.

I wanted some suggestions from folks that have used one recently.

Not trying to threadjack, but I'm also interested in finding a reputable middleman to transfer a firearm due to sellers who won't ship to CA. Any recommendations? I'd also like to know what the typical fees are.

I'd like to get a Keltec Sub 2000 because I think I'd have ridiculous fun plinking with it. The problem of course is trying to get one locally. I need to find a middleman who can install a muzzle brake and bullet button.

He has installed a Raddlock on an AR bought from an online store (non-CA friendly but bought during Sandy Hook rush at a non panic price)
He'll transfer arms for $25 + shipping if no conversion is needed.
