He seems to be coming out looking like he is using the shooting as a promotional tool more than anything else.

I think it is meant more as a "F##K YOU" to those blaming him for the shooting. Like everyone said his prices aren't great, even at cost, so he's not doing much in the way of publicity for his business, just doing something to piss of the grabbers who blame guns for VT.

I guess his "cost" can mean a lot of things, but NO WAY are those prices dealer cost. If they are, he should definitely find some new suppliers.

I know a little bit about dealer pricing.
The guy isn't lying. His prices are very close to dealer, and in some cases, actually lower. I can't go too much into detail, but I'll give two examples. Someone said these are sold out so it shouldn't matter.

STAG Model 1L
TGS: $880
Dealer: $820
So with tax, shipping, and a little bit for handling, that's pretty darn near close to cost. If he's making any money, it is at the most $30.

STAG Model 4
TGS: $787
Dealer: Actually MORE than this price, by a good bit.

People often think that when a dealer sells a gun he makes a couple bills. Nope. Not the case. Where a dealer really makes makes a good profit margin is in accessories and used guns where he can offer a guy $300 for his gun and sell it for $499.

While there are some dealers that like to scalp, It isn't easy to be in the gun business... and it is very easy to lose your shirt. Now, granted, he might be ordering like a 100 of these rifles at a time so his price drops more, but it is highly unlikely he can do that for more than maybe a few of the many items he is selling.

This guy has pointed out WAY too many times that he sold items to both NIU and VT shooters. IMO it's nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to turn media coverage into free advertising in a sick bid to further profit off of two tragedies. Dressing his crappy sale up as philanthropy is just twisted.
