I need help in determining my rifle speed

Can someone that shoots at the Angels range help me out with determining my FPS speed or velocity. I need to borrow or perhaps you can help out if I buy the ammo on setting up a chronograph to check my socom nozzle velocity so I can start figureing out my 308 mildot range. Ok I will buy my own but what brand?

      1st rule of thumb.

Buy your own chronograph. If you shoot one it is not cool, especially if it is not yours

You'd be better off just shooting to 600 and figuring it out that way. A simple ballistic calculator would work to get you started, too.

My rifle does not go very fast; but the bullets do. I did get pissed at one once and chucked it, must of been at least 80fps. This is probably the wrong forum to be asking about your nozzle velocity...

If I put the rifle in my car and drive 80 mph will that be fast enough?

If you want to come to A Place to Shoot I've got a chrono - only stip is I drive the rifle through the chrono
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Timberwolf is a awesome guy to shoot the breeze with. And A Place To Shoot is pretty good too.
