SO after about 2 years of my house being broken into and my guns being stolen, 2 sherrifs decked down in bulletproof gear approach me at my house asking if i was MajorCajones, i replied yes, then they proceeded to ask if i owned any firearms. I told them yes and gave them the breakdown of the day my firearms were stolen (its all in a police report somewhere, dont kow why they need me to explain again).
Then teh sherrif started to ask me questions about the rifle....how was it modified. He started to ask if it had a muzzle break or FS, wether it had a pistol grip.(if he recovered it, why is he asking me these questions, and writing them down?) I got a weird feeling and replied yes, and that my rifle was also equipped with a magazine lock, making it a firearm with fixed magazines, and that it is CA legal. He replies, somewhat sincerely, "oh so it is ca legal"
anyhoo he explained that getting my firearm(s) back will probably be a lengthy process, and he gave me his number, he wants me to go to court tommorrow...i didnt even ask him why i should be in court, he just asked if i could take some time off work to go to the court, and to please call and let him know if i will be available....
im kinda nervous

it just seems fishy ive never heard of anyone having to go to court to recover your gun(s) normally just fill out a few forms and get your property back after the case(the guy who had your gun) goes through the courts
