    When you carry...

    do you match carry piece and holster to what you're wearing? I think that a Glock is fine for OC to the local pizzeria(sp?), but if you need an extra touch of fancy i.e CalGuns Wedding/Party/Anniversary/anything else black tie where carry is allowed, I would go with a Stainless 1911 or Sig with wood grips in a leather IWB holster. What would you do?

      All I can really afford at the moment is a Milt Sparks VM-2 IWB holster for my P2000. Which is fine with me, as I don't really see the need for another one right now.

      If a significant change in my dress is necessary, that probably means I would want to change my handgun as well as my holster. For example, I'm considering buying a holster for my Ruger Super Blackhawk so I can carry a more potent weapon when I am backpacking/hiking.

          Wow, I'm jealous. I can't find a VM2 for a P2000 and I've been looking for a while.

              I would have to agree,
              For "black tie" occassions, I would definitely go with my Kimber TLE II stainless with pewter grips and leather holster.

                  You can do what I did and just get on the list. Took half a year, but boy oh boy was it worth it . . .

                              Try TT Gunleather, they have models for the P2000 and P2000SK. Just as good quality as my VM-2, cheaper, and only about a 5~7 week backlog.
                              They are quickly surpassing VM-2's in popularity on CalCCW for their quality and price.
                              FWIW, I have one VM-2 and one (going on two) TT Gunleather.
                              I just ordered one for my new Kimber Ultra CDP II.
