    Huh?

All the "information" buzzing around this morning on the news regarding Adam Lanza and the documents on the searches, etc coming out left me thinking, huh?
Here is what I found to be really aggrevating:
Reporter: "In his car was found 6 magazines with 30 clips each"
    hmmmm.....
I can respect that the lady might not be familar with firearms, but how could anyone mistake a round or bullet for a clip? sheesh....

I can understand being afraid because of ignorance. I get that part of it. If someone handed me a running chainsaw I might be a little nervous too! I'm not so familar with a chainsaw....BUT that's no reason to claim ignorance is ok and ban it. I guess the nasty boomsticks have to go! :/

        What's a c183?

Do they mean a Mossberg 183 that was last made in the '50s or a Kodak camera?

It was merely misinterpretation of bad hand-writing on the evidence form. It was the purchase of a CZ83 - a Czech pistol. (the Z poorly written - just look at the sloppy handwriting on mist of the evidence forms). Anyone with even a mediocre knowledge of firearms would have known this.

Its all part of a media and (some) LEA push for a AWB to be passed.

You need to question all the reports, even the actual reports from the PD.

as for the nomenclature...to a non-gun owner our dislike for the word "clips" is stupid. They don't understand why we are putting up a fuss about it. Some thought (and you can how hear) magazine clips being used or the word "clips" being swapped for the word "rounds".

At an AWB town hall discussion you can hear several Board Members say, "...30 round magazine clips..."

It will be much clearer if you realize that there are two qualifications for being a news reporter:

              1. You have to be very pretty.

              2. You have to be able to read copy without saying, "Um".

News reporters are people who wanted to be actors but were unable to memorize a full scene of dialogue. Now they just sit and read teleprompters and try to remember not to smile when they're reporting natural disasters.
I've never seen an American flag burned at a gun show.
