Is this a straight forward deal or do I need to check buyers DL?

If I'm getting what I'm paying for, I don't care who they are. I've made a number of FTF deals through this site that have gone well.

Pretty sure you just exchange cash for ammo. If not just go to a different county for the transaction. City of Sacramento has a silly law like that and only the LGS's have to follow it. Just go outside the city, if you want to avoid getting ID'd and fingerprinted like a criminal. Cool thing is CCW holders don't need to be checked.

There's a BIG difference between LA County and LA City when it comes to firearm/ammo transactions but not sure if there's anything about PP sales on ammo.

There's a federal age limit regarding the sale of rifle and handgun ammunition.

I think the concern is that all ammo purchasers must be 21 or older for handgun ammo and 18 or older for rifle ammo. Technically you could be breaking the law I guess if they were younger, but its up to you whether you want to check or not. The last ammo sale I DID ask the guy for his ID because he honestly looked like a 14 year old kid. To my chagrin his ID said he was 22 haha.
