HK USP C vs. Glock 27 Gen 4 Recoil?

    So,
I've been hoping to find a small .40 cal for a CCW and EDC. I want a Kahr PM40, however, I don't want to spend that kind of money as of yet. I'm able to buy the Glock 27 Gen 4, as it's availible to me and in my price range. I've shot an XD 40 cal, recoil was no issue, I LOVE my dad's HK USP C .40 cal, even though I feel it has more recoil than the XD. I hear alllllllthis hype that the G27 has serious recoil and women shouldn't shoot it, get the 26 in 9mm. All of my handgun expeirence has been with .40 (except reccently) I am very comfortable with the recoil of the XD and the HK....does anyone have a good comparison of the glock to the HK or the XD? Is it REALLLLY that much more? I hear the PM40 is horrible on recoil too. Isn't it normal for your hand to be stingy after 100+ rounds ??? I look up videos of these ladies shooting the G27 and either they don't have a good purchase on the thing or it really is a big kicker....just looking for some feedback...it's a good a bought, but just wondering....
    Thanks all!

It does have a significant amount of recoil but its not a .44 magnum. You should be able to handle it. My wife does! Dont doubt yourself if you want a. .40, G26 is just another option.

There really is only one way to definitively answer your question: find a range that has the pistols available as loaners and put some ammo through them. I'm an HK user with the P2000 sk in 40, and I'm very comfortable with that. However I am a guy, so what I like doesn't count in this situation. Hands on is the only way to know for sure.

Something to consider. +P defensive ammunition in a small frame pistol like the Glock 27 might be an issue for you. I know it kicks more in my Glock 26 but it's still easily managed. I've never fired a G27 with +P ammo though.

I'd willingly do so, but no ranges in a very wide radius (maybe 5 hours) that rent. We have 1 tiny indoor one 90 miles away. So, that's the issue. Someday when I'm out of town I will go to a real range and do so with all the guns I can find that I've been interested it..... sigh. The joy of back woods life :P
