        Morons absolute morons

As the old saying goes: "A fool and his money are soon parted"
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.

I just don't get that. If someone is willing to pay a higher price than you, it does not make him a moron. If you can't afford to play with the big boys, it's best to stay in the sand box.

What I really don't get are "collector's" versions of firearms...historical value is the only thing IMHO that warrants a higher price of an otherwise exact same gun (assuming the quality, aesthetics, and function are the same).

Yes, Yes it does. When you consider that materials for that gun cost less than 1/20th of the asking price, and that particular weapon is not even a part of the "planned gun bans", even the workmanship doesn't add up to 1/10th the price.

So Yes......in my book, paying that much for what amounts to a run of the mill pistol, THAT WOULD MAKE YOU A MORON!!!!

                    Two things are going here:

Either the price is being driven up on purpose
                    or
People don't know the actual price of a firearm and therefore are going to over-pay for it.

tleeocinca - I don't mind paying a high price for a gun (my wife might but that's another issue) if it's worth it. Clearly this gun is NOT worth the current bid/price.

One thing is for certain, whoever has the winning bid will pay way-way too much for it.

Looking at the bid history, I don't think so.

It's 5 accounts bidding it up. If you don't want to pay that much, don't bid so high then. Problem solved.

In the unlikely event that a seller wants to drive up the price on his own product, he's risking having to pay the GB fee for his own bid. Not a good way to do business or to keep your GB account open.

The seller can report the "Shill account" to gunbroker as a non-paying bidder so that they dont get charged for it, had to do it for a deadbeat bidder and saw how easily the system can be manipulated IMO

Apparently, it takes a lot of effort to be a a-hole, huh?
