    shipping to ffl directly??

I have a firearm for sale in the private firearms for sale section. My question is can it be shipped directly to his ffl or has to come from my ffl?? YES I used the search function and there was conflicting advice.Has anyone done this who can comment? I've done ftf ppt and the seller is fingerprinted and fills out a form so how can this be done if I ship it directly for a ppt

Your post is confusing. You should call the FFL in question and ask if they will accept a direct shipment from you. It's their decision.

I really don't know what you're talking about with 'the seller is fingerprinted'..?
What's that statement all about? Nobody fingerprints anybody; where did you imagine that happening..?

You cannot do a PPT (Private Party Transfer) unless BOTH buyer and seller are California Residents and IN THE SAME ROOM at the FFL in person.

So you can't ship for a PPT. Also, if you ship a handgun (you never mentioned what you are selling) that is OFF ROSTER because the FFL cannot transfer an off roster handgun unless it is a PPT, which would require both of you in the SAME ROOM.

I just completed a ppt with another member less than 10 days ago and the LGS took both our thumb prints. I have a handgun for sale a Glock 30 and a member here would like me to ship it directly to his ffl and I have never sold a firearm that way.

The thumbprint was a first for me too.

Ok...the G30 is on the roster so call the receiving FFL and ask if you can ship direct. Be advised that this is not a PPT and the buyer will have to pay much more for the FFLs service. The Buyer does get his thumb printed, not needed for the seller and since this is not a PPT nothing else is required from you.

Also, since it is a handgun it must be shipped via Fed Ex or UPS (overnight, insured and/or second day) which can cost $80 bucks or more. Some Fed Ex and UPS locations won't accept a handgun at their retail outlet. Call ahead.
You cannot ship handguns thru the post office unless you're an FFL. (which costs much less). So it might be cheaper to just ship it using an FFL and get charged $25 bucks and much less than $80-$100 bucks.

In reading your marketplace thread, its called SHORT FRAME not Slim Frame.

          Good luck
