    Shipping a Rifle

I have a rifle I need to ship to and FFL.

It is a keltec sub 2000 with a 10 round magazine. It's current configuration has a bullet button and the overall length meets California law. I am shipping from California to California. Do i need to ship FFL to FFL or can i ship directly to FFL from my home?

I will be including a copy of my CID, I received the other parties FFL via fax, but wondering if it is legal to ship direct to save some money(I am covering shipping costs). My FFL charges a flat rate of $65. If i ship direct it would cost me $25.

    Thanks in advance!

It's legal to ship it youself, but many FFLs have a policy of only receiving shipments from other FFLs. You need to check with the buyer's FFL to see if he has such a policy.

Legally you can ship firectly to an FFL. Like Mssr. Elegante says the receiving FFL may have his own policy, so check with him.

Go to the UPS shipping hub in your area, not the storefront offices. I ship guns all the time from my UPS hub.
