I have a bunch of old federal .22 lr and was wondering if it was still good? I have 9-555/525 bricks that I wanted to sell but didnt want to sell ammo thats bad. It was stored in the same place I store my powder so its not left in the elements. When my father in law passed away I recieved all of his guns/ammo and it looks pretty old to me i have no idea when he bought it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's probably good. With the ammo scare, I bet many people would be willing to take that chance if the prices aren't ridiculous.Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Nope not good. Better send it to me for proper disposal.Originally posted by fighterpilot562Damn it man! We could have got drunk, called a taxi and drop by Kest house with a mega phone.Comment

I've had 3 bricks of fed 40 gr round nose w/out plating 22 lr for 25 years, took those suckers out 3 months ago. Had only 2 FTF out of 1500 rounds, and then I shoot some new stuff. Guess what the old stuff was much better to shoot, than new. Morale of the story, sometimes, old is better than the new...
