No.
Metal springs wear out from use - cycles of compression/expansion. A normal spring can remain compressed for decades without deterioration.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good! -

Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison
The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)Comment

It's bad to store them unloaded. An unloaded gun is just an awkward club. All my mags are stored loaded.Originally posted by MezcalfudBecause a Glock looks great in the case and then when you take it home it feels like you're holding a Costco pack of Kielbasa.Comment

No.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Not really. I usually keep my new mags loaded as to hopefully help break in the springs. Not sure if it really helps but it seems to do so. I don't think it will do any harm. As most have stated, it is the constant use (compression/depression is what wears them).*********************

1. PW 800+ Hydro Multispeed (just the hydraulic unit that also works with Spolar press)
2. PW 800B converted to 800C (12 gauge) with lots of accessories and upgrades
3. Hornady 366 (12 gauge)

I stored two of those 30 round glock mags fully loaded for a year and the springs have lost their tension and will not load rounds properly. So I believe you can.Comment

Yes it is. Send them to me ASAP (still loaded) for proper disposal
